TAWDHEEF 2012 - A PHENOMENAL SUCCESS!
The 6th edition of TAWDHEEF, which took place from 31 January - 2 February 2012, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, witnessed huge success as thousands of qualified professionals visited the event to meet over 100 companies to discover exciting career opportunities.
The event was graciously inaugurated by H.E. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, along with several other key ministries and dignitaries.
There were also several exciting feature areas that proved to be highly popular including the seminar sessions presented by HR Managers from organisations and the Interview Room, managed by Ershaad.ae

This is one of the biggest career fairs in the UAE and we are very proud to be here. The exhibition has been very well organised - grouping together all the banks together on the exhibition floor to form a ‘finance sector’ was a great idea. We not only see the exhibition solely as a recruitment show, but also a key platform with which to network with our industry colleagues and discuss key issues in the banking sector, Emiratisation naturally being one of these.

As we are involved in hospitality, it has always been traditionally difficult to attract UAE Nationals to this particular sector, however Tawdheef has been a very interesting experience for us, not only because it has provided us with the platform to demonstrate the career opportunities for UAE Nationals, but it has also opened dialogue for them to explain to us how what aspects of our industry actually interests them.

The exhibition this year has almost been perfect, and we are happy with the quality of visitors that have come by our stand. The organisation of the event has been very good, particularly on the last day, considering the amount of visitors that have been coming through. We have received more than 2,000 CVs so far, and will be definitely returning next year!

We are very happy to be here, first 2 days were good, and the third day has been particularly hectic, but we like the way everything has been organised and are happy with the calibre of candidates coming in. We have probably received between 1500-1600 UAE National applications so far and look forward to hopefully returning next year.

The first two days were very good for us in terms of meeting UAE National job seekers. We received about 550 CVs from UAE Nationals, 35 per cent of these were from Bachelor degree holders and 20 per cent were from Master’s degree holders.
