EMAL targets Emiratis at Tawdheef 2012
Abu Dhabi, 31 January, 2012: Emirates Aluminium (EMAL) is stepping up its programme for recruiting Emiratis in 2012 with its fourth participation at the Tawdheef career fair in Abu Dhabi. The flagship industrial project is a key element of Abu Dhabi's 2030 Vision and its Emiratisation plan is at the core of EMAL's strategy for delivering future growth.
Saeed Fadhel Al Mazrooei, President and CEO of EMAL said: "We are proud of the role we play in supporting the diversification of the economy. Already one of the largest industrials projects in the UAE outside the oil and gas industry, last year EMAL announced the start of Phase II of the Al Taweelah smelter. The additional $4.5 bn investment will see the workforce rise from 2,000 to 3,000 employees upon completion in 2014. Currently employed at EMAL 391 Emiratis, of these 96 are engineers, including 15 female engineers.

EMAL already has an active Emiratisation programme with multiple initiatives for Emiratis currently at the company. These include: EMAL's Pre-Employment Courses (PEC) which provide guaranteed jobs for Emiratis upon successful completion; scholarship support in relevant subjects and summer training program for students.
Tawdheef 2012 is being held at ADNEC - the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre -l from 31stJanuary to 2nd February.
